Note the new menu location for managing custom fields.
We have made some enhancements that will allow you greater
flexibility in the management of your classroom or bricks-and-mortar course
offering via Learning Port.
As part of this effort, the custom fields workflow will move
from its previous location under Manage Users -> Custom Fields to its NEW location
at Manage Users -> Organization -> Custom Fields.
Additionally, we made changes to
the following workflows:
Session management - Significant changes will be
made to the session management workflow. The language and pricing features
were taken out of the course workflow and put in the session's workflow.
Instructors, classrooms, and equipment previously associated with the session
will now be associated with the session part or "segment." This allows you
to have a lecturer and overhead projector at one segment and a field location
and product demonstrator in another segment.
Student registration - With
the ILT Phase 3 enhancements, you'll be able to control which groups of
student can see particular sessions. You will be able to export a roster
of students, with any associated fees and adjustments applied.
Approval
- The student site's approval workflow is where approvers respond to approval
requests. If an approver is absent, however, an Administrator needs a way
to move the approval process forward. ILT Phase 3 will add a new workflow
on the Administrator Site that allows you to search for approvers and see
their queue of requests, and then take action on these requests.
Training
resource management - Administrators can select resources such as persons,
places, or things that will help in the delivery of an ILT course. You will
be able to select training resources based on their attributes, such as
what they are qualified to teach or how much they cost.
Communications -
Additionally, new automated email notifications and a visual calendar will
be created to help you and your students better manage attendance of ILT
sessions.
