ADMINessentials Tip of the Month - Your Time Zone and the Core Four Sessions

Choosing Preferences

You are all set to attend the ADMINessentials Site Core Four virtual session you signed up for, and notice that the start time of the session has passed. This scenario is one that we are hearing about more and more lately. There are a couple of things you need to check before attending one of our live virtual sessions.

The virtual classroom functionality is built to accommodate the time it presents to the learner based on the time zone set forth in your preferences. To check your default time zone on the site, log into ADMINessentials, and choose My Account -> Account Information -> Preferences. The time zone there should be set to reflect the time zone for which you reside or will be taking your training sessions from most often. Setting the time zone preference correctly will allow the onsite display of the times around a session to display correctly for you.

Additionally, we schedule the classroom sessions a half-hour prior to the actual start of the session to allow time for you to get into the virtual classroom and situated with technical checks prior to the session start. This early lag at the onset also allows the Enter Session button to appear a little sooner then the regular five minutes prior to the session start.

Should you miss a live session, fear not! We make every attempt to record sessions and usually always have a self-paced version of the same topic available.

If you have questions about getting connected with ADMINessentials Site virtual sessions, email us at Essentials@training.com.
